Que Gaskins is globally lauded and respected as a marketing and advertising specialist. Currently, he continues his success and enhancement of knowledge and strategic insights as the Managing Partner and Chief Marketing Officer of the ad*itive, a cultural advertising agency with outposts in New York, London, Sao Paulo, and soon to be Tokyo. the ad*itive’s current client brand roster includes truth, Choice Hotels, Johnson’s Products, and Timberland. the ad*itive is becoming increasingly known as a “fusion” agency with a strong passion and knowledge; whose positive substance is added in meaningful amounts to a brand’s business, to improve, strengthen or otherwise alter it. the ad*itive has formed an alliance with arnold worldwide partners, headquartered in Boston, a world renown full service advertising agency with impressive brand clients that include, but not limited to: McDonalds, Choice Hotels, Volkswagen, Ocean Spray, Royal Caribbean, Titelist, Talbot, The American Legacy Foundation and many others.
Prior to the ad*itive, Que worked as the General Manager of Global Marketing for the Allen Iverson Brand at Reebok International, LTD. Que oversaw all aspects of U.S. Marketing, International Marketing, Merchandising, Advertising, Footwear Development, Apparel Development, Public Relations and new business developments for Allen Iverson. Que’s success as Iverson’s “guardian angel,” and business partner, has given him well-deserved recognition in Philadelphia as well as national acclaim. He has been featured in The Philadelphia Daily News, Business Philadelphia Magazine, Philadelphia Magazine, Capital Style, Rap Pages, Sports Illustrated, The Washington Post, and The Source Sports. As well as, featured in a cover story in the Money section of USA Today; and even praised in a 20 minute segment entitled “Guardian Angel” on Fox Sports – Going Deep.
In addition, Que is one of the co-founders’ of “The Drop Squad,” a strategic urban marketing and advisory group formed for the purpose of making Reebok more culturally connected with its most important consumer, the urban teen. “The Drop Squad” has been implemented in eight major urban cities: New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Miami.
In 1988 Que received an award for the most outstanding overall performance in business administration and graduated summa cum laude with the highest grade point average in his class from the highly acclaimed Florida A&M School of Business and Industry. In his quest to develop a more in depth marketing focus, Que successfully completed his Master’s Degree in Marketing and Advertising in 1993 at The J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University located in Chicago, Illinois.
Que Gaskins has also heightened his work experience through his completion of sports marketing internships with IBM, Anheuser Busch, and Reebok. Prior to working at Reebok, Que worked in the field of fashion as a buyer for both Saks Fifth Avenue and The Dayton-Hudson Corporation.
Que is a proud family man married to his wife, Cindy of 11 years with whom he shares two lovely children, H.J., their 10-year old son and Roobi, their 5-year old daughter.
Que is an avid basketball player with a true affinity for most sports. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, laughing, learning and living life to the fullest. He is quite enthusiastic about fashion hunting and is constantly seeking to discover new things. Lastly, he is very involved in working with young people and takes much pride in mentoring others.
