The Philadelphia Black Public Relations Society (PBPRS), in partnership with PECO, An Exelon Company, celebrated Women's History Month by hosting their annual event Milestones: Stories of African American Women in the Media. The speaker for this year's event was Philadelphia news icon Lisa Thomas-Laury from 6ABC. The purpose of the event is to celebrate African American women in all areas (public relations, print media, television and cable) of the communications industry. This year marked the sixth celebration of this annual event hosted by PBPRS and PECO.
