- Philadelphia hails Black journalists' convention

Thousands of Black journalists from across the country will be in Philadelphia this week for the National Association of Black Journalists' (NABJ) 36th annual convention. Philadelphia was chosen as host city in 2006 and members of the local chapter, the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists (PABJ), have worked closely with the convention committee to ensure the five-day event is a success. Dawn Angelique Roberts, Managing Partner of KD Communications, was one of the featured guests called upon to offer her expert advice. She offered her opinions on how churches should best utilize the media. "I think it's very important because churches, they have wonderful events. These events are great for the community to know about. So, I think that’s where they should definitely use technology to outreach to the media.
