About Kellie L. Dutton
Managing Partner and co-founder of KD Communications Group, Kellie is a dynamic-result driven professional with a strong background in producing large scale events nationally. Kellie has over fifteen years of specialized event marketing experience. She has designed and orchestrated national touring events for over a decade. With a passion for children, education, and empowering the African-American community, Kellie partnered with public relations guru, Dawn A. Roberts co-founder of KD Communications to embark on a successful full-service communications firm specializing in event management, media relations and speaker placement.
Dutton began her event planning career in her hometown of Gaithersburg, MD located just outside of the Nations Capitol over twenty-years ago. As an event consult and promotions coordinator with a top-rated radio station she began to craft and perfect her trade as the 'go to' woman for organizing local community events and trade shows.
Her expertise in the field of designing corporate affairs and fundraising events has positioned Kellie as one of the top professionals in her arena. The creative partnership of KD Communications Group permitted Dutton to work with an assortment of personalities in the field of business to entertainment and includes: R & B Vocalist Mary J. Blige, World-Renowned Poet/Activist, Nikki Giovanni, Lecturer/Activist Sonia Sanchez, Best-Selling Author, Omar Tyree, Business Leader and Speaker George Fraiser, Author/Comedian Dick Gregory and Two-Time Nominated Tony Award Actor/Director Charles 'Roc' Dutton to name a few.
In Kellie's personal time she enjoys reading, playing tennis and spending time with her son and extended family. Dutton's memberships include Meeting Planners International (MPI), The Black Alliance for Educational Options (BAEO) and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Dutton received her B.A. from Delaware State University in Drama, Speech and Communications with a minor in Theater.
