Dawn
Angelique Jones is co-founder and managing partner of KD Communications
Group, a full service communications firm with offices in
Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania. The firm specializes
in event management, media relations and speaker placement.
Recognized as one of Philadelphia’s most dynamic public
relations professionals, Jones is known for her leadership
skills and passion for the field of communications.
Respected by both clients and colleagues
alike, Jones was recognized in 2003, by The Philadelphia Tribune
newspaper as one of the People to Watch Under 40 and in 2006,
2007 and 2008 as an Influential African American and leader
in the community. In 2004 she was a recipient of the DeAnn
White Award for Community Service, presented by the Philadelphia
Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
Jones is formerly a visiting professor
and adjunct professor at Delaware State University and Temple
University.
She formed KD Communications Group over ten years ago with
business partner Kellie Dutton, after years of specializing
in public relations and marketing for Delaware newspapers
and her firm, Jones & Associates, a public relations and
marketing firm originally based in Dover, Delaware.
She currently serves as a board member
for the National Black Public Relations Society, president
of the Philadelphia chapter of NBPRS, professional advisor
for the Public Relations Society of America, Temple University
Chapter and member of the Public Relations Society of America,
Co-chair of the Communications Task Force - Eastern Region,
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., member of the African American
Female Entrepreneur’s Alliance, National Association
of Black Journalists and the Philadelphia Association of Black
Journalists, Philadelphia Advertising Club, and the Philadelphia
Public Relations Association.
Active in the community Jones is a
member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, where she is a member
of the Church Chorus and sponsor of the Youth Council ministry

Philadelphia native, Jones graduated from Delaware State University
in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism. Her
enthusiasm, engaging personality, and leadership skills are
at the forefront of her professional success. She truly believes
that all things are possible with Christ in her life.
